Civic Initiative Uganda is a non-profit, grassroots organization dedicated to empowering youth in rural villages through civic education, leadership training, and community development initiatives. Founded in 2019, CIU operates across different regions in Uganda, aiming to create a new generation of informed, active, and responsible citizens who are committed to the progress and wellbeing of their communities.

Is to empower village youth to become active, informed, and responsible citizens. Through civic knowledge sharing, leadership development, and community engagement, we aim to nurture a generation of young change-makers who can shape a more inclusive, transparent, and resilient society from the grassroots up.
